Meet the FD Assistant Principals » Kim Hill, Assistant Principal

Kim Hill, Assistant Principal

My name is Kim Hill, and I’ll be serving the students, teachers, and staff at Fred Douglass Elementary as Assistant Principal. Although I’ve lived all around east Texas, Jacksonville is home and I’m a Jacksonville High School alumna. This is my fifth year as an assistant principal but have previously served as an instructional coach and elementary teacher. I received a Bachelor of Science degree and teacher certification from Stephen F. Austin University and Master of Science degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. I married into an Aggie family, so we are big supporters of Texas A&M; Whoop! I have a wonderful husband, Clint, and 3 wonderful children: Kortlyn, a student at Texas A&M, Kesli, who will be attending University of Texas, and Cooper, a sophomore in high school. Of course, I can’t leave out my 3 dogs, who I consider my fur babies.

I’m so glad to be part of the wonderful Fred Douglass family and look forward to all the great things that will be happening here.  My belief is that ALL children can learn and my personal mission statement is: Make a Difference. I look forward to supporting the fabulous teachers at Fred Douglass and watching students as they develop into 21st century learners and leaders. We are FOCUSED ON THE FUTURE! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions or need assistance. [email protected]
